What works
- Journals, pages, [[links]], #tags, backlinks and unlinked references
- Block references and embeds, aliases, namespaces, page and block properties
- TODO / DOING / DONE, priorities, scheduled and deadline dates, simple queries
- Fast search, all pages, templates, / commands, drag and drop of blocks
- Graphs in any folder, or in iCloud Drive across your devices
- Daily snapshots you can restore, and a saved copy of any page another app changed at the same time
Not yet
- Two outliner apps editing the same graph at the same time is not supported. Close the other one first.
- Org-mode files (.org) are ignored. Only Markdown pages are loaded.
- Whiteboards, plugins, PDF annotation and advanced (Datalog) queries.
Questions
- Will it change my existing notes?
- Not unless you edit them. In our tests on 16 public Markdown outliner graphs (almost 10,000 pages) opening and saving changed no file. Sumi also keeps snapshots you can restore. Still, this is a beta, so start with a copy of your notes.
- Can I use another outliner on the same folder?
- Yes, one at a time. Quit the other app before opening the folder in Sumi, and the other way round. Running both at the same time is not supported.
- How does sync work?
- iCloud Drive is built in. Syncthing, Dropbox or git work on the folder too, since it is just files.
- What does it cost?
- Free during the beta.
- How do I ask for a feature?
- Post it on the ideas board and upvote the ones you want most. Bugs go to sumifeedback@mikaili.io or Send Feedback in the app.
